In an era often defined by division, the Hill Nation Summit stands as a rare and vital arena for civil, constructive, and reasonable discourse. Returning to Washington, D.C. on July 15, 2026, this second annual event—hosted by the powerhouse partnership of The Hill and NewsNation—is designed as a credible and bipartisan platform to ask our powerful speakers just exactly how they plan to fix America.

Why You Can’t Afford to Miss It

The 2026 Summit arrives at a critical juncture for the United States. With the midterm elections looming and a wave of technological disruption reshaping our workforce, the stakes for American policy have never been higher.

The Summit will kickoff with general delegate and exclusive networking breakfast opportunities, providing ample meeting and work space throughout the day, including a lunch break, and we will cap off the day with a cocktail reception.

The Hill Nation Summit is where the news is made and where the future of American policy is debated in real-time. Join us in the heart of the capital this July to engage with Congressional Staffers, C-suite leaders and DC insiders who are shaping our country’s trajectory.

More speakers will be announced.

Looking to build a meaningful partnership around this Summit? Please reach out to Ashley Bolding at abolding@thehill.com

Event Themes

The Fiscal Cliff & Tax Reform 2.0

A major theme will be preparing for the expiration of significant tax provisions set for 2026, forcing Congress to negotiate the entire U.S. tax code.

Health Insurance & Affordability Renewal

The looming expiration of enhanced premium tax credits (ACA subsidies) in 2026 creates massive uncertainty in the health insurance markets and fuels the affordability debate.

AI Governance, Labor & National Security

As AI technology matures and its economic impact becomes more visible, the focus shifts from novelty to practical governance and its effect on jobs and global competition.

Energy Security and Permitting Acceleration

The need to balance climate goals with sustained energy independence requires a fundamental overhaul of the bureaucratic process for infrastructure and energy projects

Workforce & Job Quality Reform

Driven by the desire to increase productivity and address wage stagnation, policymakers will debate using incentives and mandates to improve the quality of jobs across the economy, including initiatives aimed at increasing portable benefits.

Decision Desk HQ

Decision Desk HQ is a leading provider of real-time election results, race calls and related data, and the only provider to cover US elections from the presidency and Congress to the county and city level. Launched in 2012 on a hunch that we could use technology to improve the speed and lower the cost of collecting election returns, we were first to call the presidency for Donald Trump in 2016 and for Vice President Joe Biden in 2020, and again for President Trump in 2024. In 2022, we were first to call control of Congress and also covered 16,000 local races.
